Ashley spent the last week in Ocean City with her mother, sister, aunt and uncle. She got home this afternoon and it's good having the girl back, I don't mind tellin' ya. She had fun, relaxed, got some reading done, and brought me back a box of snow caps (or should I say "nonpareils?"), so nothing to complain about there.
Ottie and I have had a good time the last seven days with the place to ourselves, but the lady of the house is back none too soon; one can only watch The Office on DVD so many times before you start seeing David Brent in your dreams. And that isn't what I'd call an ideal situation.
On an entirely unrelated topic, I just got an email from Amazon.com announcing "32% Off "Disney's DuckTales By Marv Wolfman!" Who knew Marv "Teen Titans/Crisis on Infinite Earths" Wolfman did DuckTales?! I've heard the original Uncle Scrooge comics by Carl Barks are classics and the newer stuff by Don Rosa is pretty good, though I've never read it myself, but still . . . fucking DuckTales . . . Was that from hunger or what, Marv? Let's hope so.
