So last night was supposed to be the Group Three card in the Wrestling Legends Invitational. Unfortunately, the folks in charge at the Arena Mexico double booked the joint, and we had to relinquish our spot to Código Postal en el hielo. For a project that has time travel as such an integral element, you’d think we would have been able to resolve the matter without canceling our show, but nope. The end result is that Group Three will be held in Mexico City tonight, and I’ll have the blow-by-blow recap up tomorrow. Which means no Lazy Bastard Friday video post this week.
But my creeping sloth will not be denied. So, since tomorrow’s blog post will be a proper one, today’s will see the debut of Lazy Bastard Thursday. Ta-da!
In keeping with the pro wrestling theme, here’s a three-part video of a match between Hulk Hogan and The Great Muta from Japan circa 1993. Hogan and Muta are both a part of Group Three, and the seeding would allow for them to meet in the group final. So, could this match from the Fukuoka Dome be a preview of the Group Three final? Ehhhhhh, could be.
Then again, the group also includes Rikidozan, Toshiaki Kawada, Chris Benoit, Bryan Danielson, and Shawn Michaels. So who the fuck really knows?
