Yesterday in my American Government class, we split up into groups for the We the People project; over the next month or so, we’re going to re-draft the Constitution of the United States. There must be a God, because I’m in the same group as James and Darren, all but guaranteeing this is going to be a shitload of fun. Whatever we come up with finally, I’ll be sure to post here.
I’ve also been working on ideas of my own for a revised Constitution, to chart the boundaries of my own hubris, if nothing else. I have modestly entitled it The National Charter, and it’ll probably end up a lot different than what we come up with in our group, since I won’t have to compromise my mad design. I’ll put that up when it’s done, too, so you can all take turns trying in vain to explain to me why paying Congress the minimum wage would never work.
