Biblical Armageddon vs. Global Warming: Teaching the Controversy

Steve's New Userpic
Hopefully tomorrow I will have a video up, the first in a series where I will discuss creationist arguments that I am sick of hearing, inspired by the incredibly enjoyable Facebook discussion I have been having since last week.  (Thanks Dave, Mike, and Steve!)

In the meantime, it just so happens those clever bastards at the Onion have put up a video that deals with a similar topic.  This is the latest edition of the Onion News Network, which features a story about the controversy over whether or not public schools should be required to teach Biblical Armageddon to students as an alternative theory to global warming.  Apparently it is not fair to our children that they only be told one theory of how the world will end.

Funny shit.  Check it out:

.......................>sigh<..................ya know....I had to get the ACLU involved, here in Kansas, last year, because the school refused to stop browbeating my children about xtianity being the only true religion. A couple of my kids don't even feel welcome there unless they pretend to subscribe to some kind of xtianity, and one of my stepkids was convinced his deceased biomom must be in hell because she had a temper! And to think; there was actually a time when I thought these people were amusing.
