Steve's New Userpic
In keeping with my new role as a clearinghouse for all things Christopher Hitchens, I am pleased to present the following five-part series, first published throughout the week by On Faith, the blog written and moderated by Sally Quinn and Jon Meacham at the Washington Post.

Thanks to JesusSavesAtCitibank for posting all five parts to YouTube this week.

Hitchens also contributed a written piece to On Faith this week, which can be read right here.

I am not sure I can watch this. I'll come back later, and try again. Long Live Hitchens!

I'm convinced that someday in the future, chemo and radiation will be looked upon like bloodletting, leaches, or purging. In 50 to 100 years, they will feel sorry for us because we had so little understanding of this nasty plague. As fast as we figure one thing out, some force of nature smacks us down, doesn't it? Is cancer the new Consumption?

Its always something, isn't it? If it ain't the bubonic plague or yellow fever, its cells mutating and causing our organs to rot, right?
