corey donaldson the freethinker from lethbridge , alberta , canada has some questions to ask. first question: have you ever watched the action thriller to live in die in la starring william petersen and willem dafoe with the cool film score by the 80's band wang chung ? second question: have ever listened to these rock bands like the cult , simple minds , garbage , screaming trees , killing joke , echo and the bunny men and alice in chains ? third and final question: have you ever read the shirley jackson novel the haunting? ps here is a list of songs performed by the rock bands i named in the second question. the cult: go west, love , wild flower and edie (ciao baby). simple minds: sons and fascination, love song and alive and kicking. garbage: supervixen , stupid girl and vow. screaming trees: subtle poison , closer and butterfly. killing joke: love like blood , eighties and millennium. echo and the bunny men: do it clean , over the wall and the killing moon. alice in chains: sea of sorrow, rooster and what the have i ? so if you enjoy listening to great rock songs check out those rock bands and their songs i wrote down because you might like them.

Thoughts about Captain Marvel:

1) He was actually doing Superman stuff before Superman was, for example Captain Marvel was flying while Superman was still leaping over tall buildings. So a case could be made that Superman eventually came to rip off Captain Marvel.

2) My opinion on how to fix Captain Marvel: he shouldn't be a comic book character, but a comic strip character. These days we have expectations of comic book characters -- character arcs, angst, complicated social life -- and those expectations don't work for Captain Marvel any more than they do for, say, Popeye. Popeye is a weirdo in a world of weirdos, and that's what has always worked for Captain Marvel too.
