Luciano Pavarotti, the most celebrated opera singer of his lifetime, died yesterday of pancreatic cancer. To honor him, and to import a bit of culture and sophistication to my, admittedly, occasionally rather sophomoric website, here is a YouTube video of the great tenor performing the aria "Nessun dorma" from Puccini's opera Turandot:
