In this segment of my series devoted to examining tired, refuted creationist arguments that will not die, I explain why there are “still” apes living in the modern world, despite the evolution of humans.

“Why are there still apes?” is actually a pretty stupid question, based on a basic misunderstanding of what evolution is and how it works.

"Evolution doesn't have a goal"? Clearly you never saw the fine science documentary "Threshold" on Star Trek: Voyager.

Most people don't know that very early drafts of Darwin's initial papers on evolution contain his revolutionary "We'll all be giant salamanders someday" hypothesis. He was forced, much to his regret, to abandon it shortly after the opium wore off.
