A humble (only not very) suggestion that people who pray for victims of natural disasters should act on their laudable desire to help suffering people by actually doing something to help suffering people.

I watched your Youtube about prayer and Japan.

As a devout, completely sold out Christian, I could not more fully agree with the central tenant of your argument.

Prayer is a great thing, and I believe in it. However, a lot of Christians believe that prayer is the end of it. I don't think it is. IF you have the ability and resources to DO SOMETHING about whatever it is you are praying about, and you don't, you are a hypocrite. You talk the talk, but you aren't walking the walk! Prayer is nice....ACTIONS with the prayer are even better.

My heart is broken for Japan. I want to help, and when I find an organization that is trustworthy and actually spends the money on the hapless victims of this tragedy, my family will send some money to them. And of course.....I will pray for them too.

You seem like a pretty cool, intelligent guy. I hope that when you meet GOD, that you are ready for the meeting.

Be well,

Thanks for stopping by, Joe. Come back any time!

By the way, International Medical Corps and Doctors Without Borders are both excellent organizations, with great reputations for how they spend your money, should you feel moved to contribute. I donated to IMC the other day.

Thanks again, and take care!

I happened to find your video on Youtube today, and I came here to tell you how much I appreciate it.
I am a Japanese but fortunately our area did not get so much damage this time. And I was one of those who have been "pray"ing for the victims in the northern Japan, but thanks to your video,I was finally able to decide that I need to DO something for real.
I hope more and more people will find your video on youtube and will be moved to actually do something for the victims. Thank you so much, Steven-san!
Sorry about my poor English.
