Saturday, November 24th, 2012 | 10:28 pm (UTC) - SW Xmas songs
No matter how bad it was, I now regret that I missed seeing the SW Xmas show. On the other hand, I don't wish to access it on the Net nor buy the video. Although I cringe at the thought of another season of Xmas songs, if Lucas were to release a 2 CD compilation of 33 unforgettable SW Christmas melodies sung by the famous characters for only $14.95, I'd definitely want to buy it. I'm sure it would be cherished by the entire family. Songs like "Deck the Cells With Bowels of Wookiee" captivatingly harmonized by the Death Star Detention Choir; "Solo the Carboniteman" gloatingly belched by Jabba; "I Saw Leia Kissing 3PO" twittered by R2D2; "Death Star of Wonder;" "Gunray the Red Eyed Viceroy;" and my favorite, "Little Pudu Boy" sneeringly slobbered by Sebulba. Make a neat late night infomercial hosted by Obi-Wan, wouldn't it? Here's the libretto for "Merry Clones Wars To You"
Darth Vader:
Jedi roasting on a funeral pyre
Rancors nipping at your toes
Twi’lek dancers leaping ever higher
And clones brewed up by Kaminos
Little Ani Wunderkin:
Pod race bettors such as crooked Watto
Were sure Sebulba would win
Jawa runts with their eyes all aglow
Should have paid heed to Qui-Gon Jinn
Chancellor Palpatine:
Gunray’s robots are here to slay
Hailfire missiles - blast away!
Empire probe droids are primed to spy
To see if Jango can really fly
Darth Sidious, Darth Vader + Padawan Skywalker:
So please perform Order Sixty and Six
From Hoth to Endor to Naboo
Though we’ve played many games, many tricks
Merry Clone Wars to you
